Mayfield House a 51-bedded residential care home set on the outskirts of Crewe is looking to recruit the following key staff:
Care Assistant (Full Time)
To provide good quality care to the residents, in accordance with departmental
Procedures, guidelines and professional standards, ensuring that individual members maintain their maximum potential and independence.
To uphold the standards of the company in day to day practice and to represent the company in a professional and positive manner when dealing with others.
No previous experience is required for this role as all elements of training is provided.
The role will include providing personal care to residents while retaining their individual rights and dignity. Applicants should be reliable, conscientious, and caring, and demonstrate a genuine interest in working with this client group. The successful candidate will possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Working over seven days, rates of pay fall in line with the National Apprenticeship rates 2026. All positions will benefit from excellent working conditions, opportunities for training and promotion and the chance to make a difference.

Positions available are 8am - 8pm, and includes every other weekend.

Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying up
- Escort clients to appointments or social outings
- Administer medication under the supervision of a nurse or healthcare professional
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required
- Compassionate and patient demeanour
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
