XO Dental is a rapidly growing, state-of-the-art private dental practice in Preston, and we are looking for an experienced Specialist Orthodontist to join our team on a fortnightly basis, with the primary focus being clear aligner treatment and orthodontic case management. We are open to the possibity of having the specialist provide fixed orthodontics also.
This is an ideal opportunity for a clinician who wants to work within a premium private environment, with a strong existing patient base and a team focused on delivering an exceptional patient experience.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Specialist Orthodontist who is confident in assessing, planning and delivering clear aligner cases, from straightforward alignment through to more complex orthodontic cases.
You will be supported by our established Treatment Co-ordinator (TCO) and clinical team, allowing you to focus primarily on the clinical aspects of orthodontic treatment rather than having to build your own patient base from scratch.
The role will involve:
- Clear aligner consultations and treatment planning
- Invisalign assessments and ClinCheck planning
- Managing mostly complex aligner cases
- IPR and attachment placement
- Aligner reviews and refinements
- Orthodontic treatment monitoring
- Retention planning
- Patient consent and treatment discussions
- Collaboration with our restorative and cosmetic clinicians where appropriate
- Treatment planning multidisciplinary cosmetic cases where orthodontics may form part of the overall treatment

2. WORK ON A FORTNIGHTLY BASIS
We are specifically looking for a clinician who would like to commit to one clinical day every two weeks.
This makes the role particularly suitable for a Specialist Orthodontist who already has an established practice elsewhere but would like to build a presence within a premium private dental practice in Preston. The role could potentially be expanded to one day per week depending on demand.
3. ESTABLISHED TCO & PATIENT JOURNEY
Our Treatment Co-ordinators work closely with clinicians throughout the patient journey.
Following consultations, patients have dedicated time with our TCO to discuss their treatment options, understand the proposed treatment and move forward with their care.
You won't be expected to manage the entire patient journey alone.
Furthermore, our TCOs are trained to take the scans and photos, upload clinchecks, discuss clinchecks (based on your guidance), sign consent forms and order the aligners.
4. CLINICAL SUPPORT & MULTIDISCIPLINARY ENVIRONMENT
XO Dental has a strong focus on comprehensive treatment planning.
You will work alongside clinicians providing:
- Invisalign and orthodontics
- Composite bonding
- Veneers and crowns
- Implants
- Complex restorative dentistry
- Smile makeovers
This creates the opportunity to collaborate on cases where orthodontics forms part of a wider treatment plan.
5. PREMIUM DIGITAL WORKFLOW
XO Dental has invested heavily in digital dentistry and patient photography, allowing cases to be assessed, documented and presented to a high standard.
Our aim is to provide clinicians with the tools and environment required to deliver predictable, high-quality private orthodontic treatment.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a clinician who is:
- A GDC-registered Specialist Orthodontist
- Special Interest In Orthodontics to be considered.
- Experienced in private orthodontic treatment
- Highly confident in clear aligner treatment
- Experienced with Invisalign and ClinCheck
- Comfortable managing more complex aligner cases
- Passionate about delivering high-quality clinical outcomes
- Patient-focused and excellent at communication
- Professional, enthusiastic and commercially aware
- Interested in working within a premium private dental environment
ESSENTIAL
GDC Specialist List registration in Orthodontics (Specialist Interest will also be considered)
Portfolio of orthodontic/clear aligner cases
We are particularly interested in seeing cases demonstrating your ability to manage different levels of orthodontic complexity.
