We are looking for an experienced Peri Peri Chicken & German Chicken Shawarma Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality peri peri chicken and authentic German chicken shawarma, ensuring excellent taste, consistency, food safety and presentation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook peri peri chicken using company recipes and marinades.
* Prepare, season and cook authentic German chicken shawarma on a vertical rotisserie.
* Slice and serve shawarma to a high standard while maintaining product quality.
* Prepare fresh sauces, salads and accompaniments for shawarma and peri peri dishes.
* Ensure all food is cooked, portioned and presented consistently.
* Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and cleanliness.
* Follow HACCP, food safety and allergen regulations at all times.
* Monitor stock levels and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO).
* Minimise food waste and report any shortages to management.
* Keep all kitchen equipment, grills and preparation areas clean and well maintained.
* Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining speed and quality.
* Assist in training junior kitchen staff when required.
* Work closely with management and other team members to deliver excellent customer service.
Requirements:
* Previous experience preparing Peri Peri Chicken is essential.
* Experience with German Chicken Shawarma and vertical rotisserie equipment is essential.
* Good knowledge of marinades, grilling and food preparation techniques.
* Strong understanding of food hygiene, HACCP and allergen management.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
