About Oakland Hall Day Nursery
Established in 2013, Oakland Hall Day Nursery is a welcoming, family-focused nursery located in Suffolk with excellent transport links, including easy access to local train and bus services. There are also plenty of nearby cafés, supermarkets and lunch spots to enjoy during your breaks.
Our beautifully refurbished nursery is situated within a charming listed building, offering bright, spacious and contemporary learning environments. We also have two large outdoor garden areas where children can enjoy a wide range of exciting outdoor learning experiences.
We are proud of the warm, family atmosphere we've created for our children, parents and staff, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for creating positive early years experiences.

As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll care for children aged 3 months through to preschool, ensuring every child feels safe, happy and supported while encouraging their curiosity, confidence and development through play.
No two days are the same, making this a rewarding and varied role where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference in children's lives every day.
You'll also build strong relationships with parents, work collaboratively with colleagues, and contribute to creating a stimulating environment where every child can reach their full potential.
What You'll Be Doing

- Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
- Observing children's progress and planning appropriate next steps.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, carers and outside agencies.
- Working closely with colleagues to create a welcoming, safe and engaging environment.
- Assisting with planning and delivering exciting, age-appropriate activities.
- Supporting children during play, mealtimes and sleep routines.
- Helping to create stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments.
- Contributing to the day-to-day running of the nursery, including maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
- Following nursery policies and procedures while continually developing your knowledge and practice.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification.
- Is enthusiastic, caring and passionate about working with young children.
- Has a good understanding of child development and the EYFS.
- Communicates confidently with parents, children and colleagues.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Is reliable, proactive and eager to learn.
- Brings positivity, creativity and enthusiasm to every day.
Why Join Oakland Hall Day Nursery?
- Be part of an exciting period of nursery expansion and growth.
- Join a welcoming and supportive team where everyone is valued.
- Comprehensive induction programme to help you settle into your new role.
- Ongoing training sessions and continuous professional development.
- Opportunities to progress your career as the nursery continues to grow.
- A friendly, family-focused working environment.
- Beautiful, spacious nursery with excellent outdoor facilities.
- Convenient location with excellent transport links.
- Overtime opportunities available.
