Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary operations in a busy shopping center. This role involves assisting with meal and food preparation and serving to food to customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for catering, cooking, and delivering excellent customer experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work independently or with one other assistant.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food and meal preparation, including cooking and plating dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to during preparation, storage, and serving processes
- Serve meals to customers efficiently and courteously, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the mobile kitchen area, including washing utensils and equipment
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to create a safe working environment
Requirements
- Taking customer orders
- Passion to serve customers
- Knowledge of food preparation, meal assembly, and kitchen safety procedures (training will be provided)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills for serving customers and working as part of a team

Pay: £12.71-£14.72 per hour
