Role Overview
As Duty Manager, you will play a key part in supporting the smooth, efficient, and high‑quality running of our venue. You’ll be responsible for leading the team during service, ensuring excellent guest experiences, and upholding the high standards expected from a Provenance Inns property.
This is an ideal role for someone who loves people, leads by example, and thrives in a vibrant hospitality environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and ensure all guests receive warm, attentive service.
- Handle guest queries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Lead the floor during service, supporting the team and maintaining standards.
Team Leadership
- Support and motivate the team to deliver excellent service.
- Assist with training and developing team members to Provenance standards.
- Ensure clear communication across all departments during each shift.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily operations in the absence of senior management.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards throughout the venue.
- Ensure adherence to food safety, licensing, and health & safety policies.
Financial & Administration
- Assist with stock control, including ordering and stock counts.
- Support cash handling procedures and daily reporting.
- Help meet sales targets and identify opportunities to enhance revenue.
What We’re Looking For
- A positive attitude, strong people skills, and passion for hospitality.
- Experience in a supervisory or duty management role (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to lead by example and motivate a team.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
