Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the maintenance of food safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
- Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
- Ensure all food safety procedures are adhered to at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service delivery and meet customer expectations
- Assist in menu planning, development, and presentation to keep offerings innovative and appealing
- Uphold high standards of hospitality by providing excellent service and ensuring guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of food production processes, menu development, and presentation techniques
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred
- Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
