Electronic Development & Support Engineer
Basingstoke – Hybrid working
Neupulse is at a turning point. Our wearable neurostimulation device is launching commercially. But getting a product to market is only half the story — once it's in people's hands, it has to keep working, keep improving, and keep getting better.
That's your world. We're looking for an Electronic Development & Support Engineer to own the life of our devices after launch.
The role
You'll own how our wearable performs once it's out in the world — digging into how it behaves in real use, working out why something isn't right, and making it better. That means turning production data, field feedback and reliability trends into real product improvements.
Our devices are built with a contract manufacturing partner, so you'll work closely with them and our suppliers to keep production smooth and quality high.
You'll:
-
Investigate field issues and production data — root-cause analysis that finds the real problem and fixes it for good
-
Drive continuous improvement in yield, quality and reliability, feeding what you learn back into the product
-
Own engineering change: design updates, component substitutions, and obsolescence management that keep products buildable for the long haul
-
Support post-market surveillance with clear engineering assessment of performance, field issues and reliability trends
-
Turn manufacturing feedback, field data and new technology into product enhancements
-
Work shoulder to shoulder with our contract manufacturer and suppliers, keeping everything controlled, traceable and compliant with our QMS and medical device regulations
You'll likely bring
-
3+ years supporting electronic products through sustaining engineering and lifecycle management
-
A real knack for root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving
-
Experience with low-power Bluetooth wearables
-
A solid grasp of DfM, engineering change, and manufacturing readiness through to production ramp
-
Time in a regulated industry (medical device, aerospace or automotive), ideally with IEC 60601-1 / 60601-1-2 familiarity
-
PCB design fluency (Altium a plus), audit-ready documentation habits, and ideally some Lean or Six Sigma behind you
Why it matters
Every improvement you make lands on someone's body, helping them through their day. This is the work that keeps a product reliable, safe and getting better over time — long after launch, when it really counts for the people who depend on it. You'll own that, and see the difference it makes.
Location
Hybrid role based in Basingstoke, with regular on-site collaboration expected.
