The Role
We are urgently looking for a reliable and hardworking driver to take over our established noodle distribution contract.
The role includes:
- Monday & Thursday: One collection from anywhere in the UK, delivering into the North West region before collecting the noodle load for the return journey. The role is planned to minimise dead mileage and make the most efficient use of each run. On Monday and Thursday evenings, the vehicle must be returned to our yard in Burton where it will be kept chilled overnight ready for the following day's deliveries.
- Tuesday & Friday: Multi-drop deliveries into Central London, averaging around 11 drops per day.
- Wednesday: Normally a day off, although additional work is available if desired.
- Saturday: Optional overtime and long-distance delivery work is available but is not expected.
On all other working days, drivers are free to take the vehicle home, subject to suitable parking arrangements.
The Ideal Candidate
✔ Aged 25 or over
✔ Full UK driving licence with a clean record ( no more than 6 points )
✔ Comfortable with early starts and long days (typically around 12 hours)
✔ Confident driving in Central London
✔ Not afraid of handball deliveries
✔ Reliable, professional and self-motivated
This role would suit someone who enjoys being on the road, can work independently and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
