We are now looking to recruit a Parts Sales & Stores Advisor to support our growing parts operation, workshop technicians and customer base.
The Role
This is a hands-on role combining parts sales, customer support, stock control and stores operations within a fast-paced dealership environment. You will work closely with service technicians, suppliers and customers to ensure parts are identified, ordered, received and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
The role suits someone organised, customer-focused and comfortable working across both counter sales and the stores environment.
Key Responsibilities
Parts Sales & Customer Support
- Promote and sell parts and related services to meet customer requirements.
- Upsell and advise customers on the correct parts for their machines and applications.
- Attract and support both new and existing customers.
- Execute parts marketing and telesales activity, sharing ideas for future campaigns.
- Process counter, phone and web-based parts enquiries accurately and efficiently.
Systems, Orders & Administration
- Use electronic parts listings and systems to accurately identify part numbers and quantities.
- Book parts onto internal job cards for service technicians.
- Supply parts to workshop technicians as required.
- Place orders with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Process IDT and inter-branch stock transfers.
- Maintain accurate invoicing and associated parts administration.
Stock Control & Stores
- Receive incoming stock, checking deliveries for accuracy and completeness.
- Store stock in the correct locations, ensuring clear labelling and traceability.
- Pick, pack and dispatch outgoing orders, including courier and web-order despatches.
- Manage high-volume web-order fulfilment in a busy online environment.
- Assist in locating Machine Down and Stock Orders quickly and accurately.
- Follow up shortages and escalate issues to the Parts Manager.
- Maintain strong stock control and support regular stock takes.
- Assist with merchandising and maintaining organised parts displays.
Housekeeping & Compliance
- Maintain a clean, safe and orderly parts and stores environment.
- Keep parts inventory well organised and easy to locate at all times.
- Follow company procedures for stock handling, health & safety and quality control.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in a parts, stores, automotive, plant, agricultural or machinery environment preferred.
- Confident using parts listings and computer-based systems to identify parts.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy customer-facing role.
- Good communication skills with both customers and internal teams.
- Comfortable working as part of a team while using initiative.
- Forklift licence an advantage (training available if required).
- Driving License essential.
