We are an award-winning independent workshop specialising in BMW and MINI vehicles, providing high-quality servicing, repairs, diagnostics and advanced fault-finding to customers who value technical expertise, honest advice and doing things properly.
We are now looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our growing team.

We are a small, skilled team operating from a well-equipped workshop in Lincoln.
We invest in specialist tooling, diagnostic equipment, technical information and ongoing training because we believe that technicians should have the right equipment, information and support to do the job properly.
Our workshop is clean, organised and professional, and we have built our reputation around quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
As the business continues to grow and develop, we want to bring another technician into the team who shares our approach and wants to develop alongside us.
The Role
As a Vehicle Technician at JGG Automotive, you will work predominantly on BMW and MINI vehicles, carrying out servicing, mechanical repairs, diagnostics and fault-finding to a high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out servicing and maintenance on BMW and MINI vehicles.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using dealer-level diagnostic equipment.
- Carrying out accurate and methodical fault-finding.
- Completing mechanical repairs and component replacement.
- Using manufacturer technical information, wiring diagrams and diagnostic test plans.
- Working with specialist tools and equipment.
- Carrying out vehicle inspections and identifying additional work where appropriate.
- Completing all work to a consistently high standard.
- Maintaining accurate job and service records.
- Ensuring vehicles are worked on safely and returned in a clean and appropriate condition.
- Working as part of a small, professional team.
- Contributing ideas and supporting the continued development and improvement of the workshop.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in being a technician.
You should have:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and practical diagnostic ability.
- A methodical approach to fault-finding and problem solving.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
- A professional attitude towards customers, colleagues and the workshop.
- The ability to use technical information and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- A willingness to continue learning and developing your skills.
BMW & MINI experience is highly desirable but is not essential.
Relevant automotive qualifications are preferred, but we are particularly interested in ability, experience, attitude and a genuine desire to do quality work.
