Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Powder Coater/ wet sprayer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coating/ wet paint systems to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a background in fabrication or warehouse environments. Prior experience with painting and prep work.
Duties
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking prior to coating
- Operate powder coating/ wet spray equipment safely and efficiently
- Apply powder coating/ wet spray evenly using spray guns and other hand tools
- Inspect finished products for quality, colour consistency, and surface defects
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Assist with Hanging/packing other tasks as required
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and machinery used in the coating process
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- FLT licence desirable
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during preparation and application processe
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adhere to safety protocols
