Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swimming Instructor to join our aquatic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging swimming lessons tailored to the abilities and needs of each participant
- Ensure the safety of all swimmers during lessons by enforcing pool rules and supervising activities
- Assess the progress of swimmers and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Maintain a clean and organised pool area, ensuring all equipment is safe and in good condition
- Foster a positive and encouraging environment that motivates learners to improve their skills
- Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and any incidents during lessons
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and safety
Experience
- Previous experience in teaching, preferably within a swimming environment
- Strong understanding of swimming techniques, water safety, and rescue procedures
- Certification in lifeguarding or first aid is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided if necessary
- Passion for teaching others and inspiring confidence in water-based activities
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to adapt lessons for different age groups and skill levels
