We are seeking a skilled Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety and optimal performance. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using schematics and technical manuals to identify vehicle issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on motor vehicles, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and addressing client concerns professionally.
- Lift heavy components safely during repairs or replacements, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before they develop into major problems.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, parts used, and services performed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in vehicle repair or maintenance with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Ability to perform assembly tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Experience in equipment repair and general maintenance tasks within an automotive or similar environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Physical strength to undertake heavy lifting safely during repairs or parts handling.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and work procedures.
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
