Overview
DIY Wall Panelling Ltd is a small family-owned business specializing in manufacturing and supplying quality wall panels. We are looking for a Workshop Operative to assist in our workshop, focusing on the preparation and packaging of MDF panels and MDF skirting boards. This is a straightforward, hands-on role requiring attention to detail. No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided. However, please note that the work is physical. The hours for this role are from 1am-9am, 5 Days a week.
Responsibilities
- Sanding: Smooth and prepare MDF panels and skirting boards, ensuring surfaces meet quality standards.
- Priming: Apply primers or undercoats to prepare products for final finishing.
- Boxing/Packaging: Safely pack and label finished products for storage or shipping.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or inconsistencies before moving them to the next stage.
- Workshop Maintenance: Keep the work area clean and organized, while following all health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills
- No previous experience required – training will be provided.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving MDF panels.
- Good attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
