We are seeking an experienced Carpenter / Joiner to join our expanding team supporting Ministry of Defence (MOD & RAF) sites across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated tradesperson looking for long-term stability, a varied workload, and the opportunity to work on a wide range of refurbishment, maintenance and construction projects within secure facilities.
Job Overview
You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive carpentry works, refurbishments, repairs and installations across MOD sites. Working as part of our Projects and Maintenance team, you will deliver high-quality workmanship across accommodation, offices and operational buildings, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive carpentry and joinery maintenance.
- Complete accommodation refurbishments, including occupied and void properties.
- Install and refurbish kitchens, bathrooms and associated fixtures.
- Fit, repair and replace internal and external doors, frames, ironmongery and fire doors.
- Undertake repairs to flooring, skirting, architraves, partitions and ceilings.
- Install and maintain fitted furniture, worktops, shelving and storage systems.
- Carry out first and second fix carpentry on refurbishment and improvement projects.
- Support small building projects and office refurbishments.
- Accurately complete maintenance documentation and ensure compliance with all site procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the wider site team whilst maintaining high standards of health, safety and workmanship.

Requirements & Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable and competent Carpenter / Joiner with experience working within commercial, industrial, facilities management or construction environments.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter / Joiner (minimum 3 years preferred).
- Experience fitting kitchens, bathrooms and internal joinery.
- Strong first and second fix carpentry skills.
- Experience carrying out maintenance, refurbishment and installation works.
- Good knowledge of timber products, construction methods and building materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of finish.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable (not essential):
- Experience working within MOD, healthcare or other secure environments.
- Fire door installation or maintenance experience.
- Basic multi-trade skills, including minor plumbing, decorating or patch plastering.
