Job Overview
We are seeking a self-employed Air Conditioning Installer / Subcontractor specialising in the dental sector. This role involves independently managing installation projects, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, experience in construction and maintenance, and the ability to interpret schematics. This position offers flexibility for experienced professionals looking to operate as an independent contractor within a specialised field.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems tailored for dental practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and installation instructions to execute precise installations
- Conduct equipment repairs and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functioning of air conditioning units
- Lead installation projects from planning through completion, demonstrating leadership and organisational skills
- Collaborate with clients and other tradespeople to coordinate work schedules and project timelines
- Ensure all work adheres to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times
- Perform routine maintenance on installed systems to prolong lifespan and efficiency
- Manage procurement of necessary tools and materials for each project
Qualifications
- Proven experience in air conditioning installation, maintenance, or related construction roles
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand schematics and technical diagrams
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing or supervising installation projects
- Competence in equipment repair and troubleshooting within HVAC systems
- Knowledge of construction processes relevant to the dental sector or healthcare environments is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Relevant certifications or licences in HVAC or refrigeration technology are preferred but not mandatory
