Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive inspections to identify mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components with accuracy
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and fluid checks
- Diagnose complex engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical system problems using diagnostic equipment
- Lift heavy vehicle parts safely using proper techniques and equipment to ensure efficient repairs
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced, documenting work performed and parts used
- Follow safety protocols diligently to create a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues
Experience
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role in vehicle repair and maintenance
- Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools essential for automotive repairs
- Ability to lift heavy parts or equipment regularly while adhering to safety standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and quality workmanship
