Join us at the Greedy Banker as a member of our Bar Staff team on a full or part time basis. We are looking for keen and energetic people who enjoy serving the public and engaging with our customers. In this lively role you will serve drinks with enthusiasm, ensure a welcoming atmosphere, and uphold the highest standards of food safety hospitality and hygiene. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic setting while contributing to a thriving social scene. The Greedy Banker is located in the centre of Cleveleys and currently offers a welcoming bar with entertainment plus an upstairs sports bar with Sky TV and interactive darts and a sepearte loungerbar/function room with a food offering to be introduced later this year.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcholic and non alcholic drinks efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Engage with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner to enhance their experience
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Taking orders and processing payments using a till or handheld device accurately and efficiently
- Monitor the bar area for cleanliness, safety and stock levels, restocking supplies as needed
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar area, following all safety procedures whilst always maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods
- Checking customer ID and age-verification
- Serving bar snacks or light food when required
- Clearing tables and collecting glasses etc.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during shifts
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and colleagues
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary
- A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service
- Knowledge of food standards and hygiene would be useful
