Responsibilities

- Assess students’ progress regularly and adjust instructional approaches accordingly to ensure continuous improvement
- Foster a positive, supportive learning environment that encourages confidence and motivation among students
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other educational professionals to track progress and share insights on student development
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress reports, and any adjustments made to teaching plans
- Promote effective communication with students to build trust and facilitate active participation in lessons
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English, particularly within SEN or special education contexts
- Strong understanding of different learning needs and effective strategies for supporting children with special educational requirements
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and motivate students
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to individual learning styles and abilities
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with children facing academic or emotional challenges
- Knowledge of relevant SEN legislation, educational frameworks, and best practices in inclusive education
- A proactive approach to assessment, feedback, and continuous improvement in teaching methods
