Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Labourer & Stonemason to join our team. This role involves assisting with various masonry and building tasks, working on-site to deliver high-quality craftsmanship. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting skilled tradespeople and ensuring the smooth progression of projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within the construction industry while contributing to diverse projects. All roles are paid, including internship positions, and require a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation and mixing of materials for masonry work
- Handling and operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised masonry equipment
- Supporting stonemasons, stone setting, and other masonry tasks.
- Performing general labouring duties such as lifting, moving materials, and site clearance
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Supporting the team in maintaining high standards of safety and quality throughout all phases of construction projects
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to masonry and construction work
- Basic knowledge of stonemasonry, masonry techniques, and building practices
- Experience or familiarity is advantageous
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting heavy materials and working at heights if required
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks on-site
