Job Overview
Join our new and vibrant café team in Shinewater park as a Barista, where your energy and passion for coffee will create memorable experiences for every guest. 20hrs per week (Thu-Sun) along with occassional hours to cover for other team members' holidays/sickdays.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing personalized recommendations
- Operate POS system to process transactions swiftly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating zones
- Handle cash and credit card transactions with accuracy, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Follow food safety standards and food handling protocols to ensure quality and safety of all offerings
Requirements
- Previous barista experience is mandatory
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
