Kitchen Assistant – Full Time (52 Weeks per Year)

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team at Dulwich Oaks Montessori Nursery School.
This is a permanent, full-time position, working all year round (52 weeks per year). This is not a term-time only role.
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00am – 6:00pm
- 42.5 hours per week (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role
This is a hands-on role supporting our busy nursery kitchen. No cooking is required, as all meals are freshly prepared and delivered by our catering company.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving hot meals to children.
- Ensuring children with allergies and dietary requirements receive the correct meals.
- Recording fridge, freezer and food temperatures.
- Washing up using both the dishwasher and by hand.
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and hygienic at all times.
- Cleaning the dining hall after meal times.
- Assisting with general kitchen duties as required.
Full training and a detailed job description will be provided.
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
- Reliable and punctual.

- Hardworking, proactive and able to use their own initiative.
- Happy working in a busy, fast-paced nursery environment.
- Experienced in working with food (preferred).
- Holds a current Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable, but training can be provided).
