Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window Fitters Mate to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist experienced window fitters in installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of window systems across commercial and residential projects. Your energetic approach and willingness to learn will contribute to delivering high-quality results efficiently and safely. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on skills in construction while working alongside seasoned professionals in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Support window fitters during the installation, removal, and replacement of windows and related fixtures on-site
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, organizing tools, and setting up scaffolding or ladders safely
- Assist with measuring spaces accurately using schematics and blueprints to ensure precise fitting
- Handle and operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment with care and adherence to safety protocols
- Help with the handling of materials such as glass, frames, and sealants, ensuring proper storage and disposal
- Follow safety guidelines consistently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience or knowledge in construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, plastering, or roofing is advantageous
- Basic understanding of construction processes including fabrication, masonry work. Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work from technical drawings or schematics accurately
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights safely

- Full UK Clean driving licence.
- Wage negoitable depending on experience.
- CSCS Card would be an advantage.
Pay: £26,500.00-£31,500.00 per year
