We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Van Driver to join our team on a fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering our goods to our wholesale customers within a 20 mile radius.
Hours are:
Thursday: 5:30AM -9:30AM
Friday: 5:30AM -9:30AM
Saturday : 5:30AM -9:30AM
Duties
- Safely operate delivery van to transport goods to designated locations within the assigned area
- Load and unload items, including heavy lifting, ensuring proper handling and secure placement
- Ensure clear following of route in order to meet delivery schedules
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and documentation as required
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations during all driving activities
Experience
- Must be over 25
- Must have a manual drivers licence
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within a commercial or warehouse environment
- Experience with commercial driving and handling heavy loads is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading procedures
