Post: Registered Manager – Lead Practitioner

Hours: 30hr wk. (Breakfast Club + OSC + School Closure Service)
Salary: Pro rata £ 31,277

PDA/BA + Management Experience (Applicants currently studying PDA may be considered)
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Willingness to drive a 9/12 seater an advantage
Completion of PVG membership, Meet SSSC registration requirements; 2 satisfactory References
Applicants should have excellent communication, organisation and IT skills alongside comprehensive knowledge and experience of the new Quality Framework for OSC; Health & Social Care Standard; GIRFEC; SHANARRI; Child Rights & Responsibilities, Playwork Principals; Benefits of Risky Play; Programme Planning and Care Inspections. Training in the following areas is an advantage but gaps can be accommodated: Child Protection; Paediatric First Aid; Infection Control; Additional Support Needs; Trauma Informed Practice, Elementary Food Hygiene; Risk Assessment and preferably 4yrs. management/supervision experience.
The key focus for a Registered Manager is ensuring the delivery of a child centred, safe, secure, nurturing care service to a high standard. Plan and deliver a comprehensive range of play learning and development opportunities to meet the needs of every child attending the service. Encouraging reflective practice by all staff to improve practice and enhance service delivery. Unlike other services our Registered Managers and local staff are fully supported by a centralised core team who deal with main administration, HR, finance, policy and procedural functions, leaving Managers free to focus on delivering and developing a quality childcare service
Cumbernauld YMCA, a former winner of the Lanarkshire Social Enterprise Award, established the Peace of Mind OSC service in 1989 in response to requests from Head Teachers/PTAs to set up OSC in areas that did not qualify for Urban Aid.
