At fifty, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional food, warm hospitality, and an intimate dining experience. As a family-run independent restaurant with around 30 covers, we believe that every guest should receive attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly service from the moment they arrive until they leave.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Front of House team member who is passionate about hospitality and enjoys creating memorable dining experiences. You will play a key role in ensuring every guest receives professional, attentive, and personalised service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on food, wines, cocktails and daily specials.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant’s ordering system.
- Deliver food and beverages efficiently while maintaining excellent service standards.
- Monitor tables throughout service, anticipating guests’ needs.
- Prepare and maintain the restaurant before, during and after service.
- Ensure tables are cleaned, reset and presented to a high standard.
- Handle guest enquiries and resolve any issues professionally.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
- Process payments accurately.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the restaurant.
- Follow all food hygiene and health & safety procedures.

- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is essential.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A positive, friendly and professional attitude.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy service.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual and well presented.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Desirable
- Wine and cocktail knowledge.
- Experience in independent or premium dining restaurants.
- Passion for food and hospitality.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
