Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Domestic Air-Conditioning Engineers and Installers to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems within residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems, schematics, and construction processes. Duties
- Install air conditioning units in residential settings according to technical specifications and schematics
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing air conditioning systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently to ensure optimal performance
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation instructions
- Lead small teams during installation projects, providing guidance and ensuring safety compliance
- Assist with system upgrades and equipment replacement as required
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts utilised
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards
Requirements
- Proven experience or strong knowledge of air conditioning systems, mechanical principles, and equipment repair
- Ability to read technical schematics and installation diagrams
- Construction experience or background in building services is highly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise or guide team members effectively
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail during installation and maintenance tasks
- Good physical fitness to handle lifting, manoeuvring equipment, and working in confined spaces
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in HVAC or mechanical engineering are preferred but not essential for entry-level roles
- A valid UK driving licence is advantageous for site travel purposes
