Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our dynamic team. The role is based in Elland, West Yorkshire, offering hands-on experience in building services design across a variety of sectors. You will work closely with senior engineers on projects from concept to completion, assisting in technical design, producing detailed reports, and contributing to office-based and client-facing tasks.
This role offers clear career progression opportunities, providing the chance to gain experience across a range of departments throughout the apprenticeship. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of estimating, design, and contracting, building a strong foundation of knowledge across the business.
You will earn your degree in Building Services Engineering through a company-funded day-release programme.
Duties
- Assist senior engineers in producing mechanical building services designs including, but not limited to;
Heating Systems
Air Conditioning Systems
Ventilation Systems
Domestic Services
Above Ground Drainage
- Prepare technical drawings using Autocad and Revit MEP, technical submission and manuals
- Support the design and delivery of client projects from concept through to completion.
- Develop an understanding of project budgets and cost management to support the Estimating and Contracts teams.
- Participate in project meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Carry out office-based engineering tasks and site support as required.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with project standards.
- Continuously develop skills and knowledge under the guidance of senior staff.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 GCSE’s 5-9 including Maths and English
- Proficiency using word and excel
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK.
- Eagerness to learn and a genuine interest in building services engineering.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience using design programmes such as AutoCad or Revit MEP

Pay: £15,600.00-£24,000.00 per year
