Overview
We are looking for a reliable, organised individual with a love for cooking to join our team.
Our nursery cook would be responsible for:
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Following and creating menus for the children including those with allergies and individual dietary requirements.
- Preparing and cooking healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for children aged between 3 months to 4 years.
- Creating the weekly food shopping list for management staff to order.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the manager.
- Furfill washing up duties for all rooms in the nursery during lunch periods
We require an individual who has good cooking skills and is confident in producing homemade meals.
Level 2 food hygiene certificate is essential.

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 8:00 - 13:00
Qualifications and skills (Desirable, although not essential)
- Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role within a residential or nursery setting.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary skills.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation.
