Location: Keynsham, Bristol
Hours: 20–25 hours per week. Suitable for a school-hour working pattern.
Salary: c.£35,000–£40,000 full-time equivalent, depending on experience and skill set. Actual salary will be pro-rated based on agreed weekly hours.

This is an ideal role for someone who wants to work in a small local practice with autonomy, flexibility and interesting work, without the pressure of management responsibilities or the need to find new clients.

The work is varied and would suit someone who enjoys taking work from initial records through to final accounts and tax returns for small businesses and individuals.
Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Payroll processing
- Preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts
- Preparation of statutory accounts for small limited companies
- Corporation Tax returns
- Personal tax returns
- Liaising with clients to obtain information and answer routine queries
- Maintaining organised working papers and client records
- Helping improve processes and ways of working
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous accountancy practice experience
- Can prepare accounts and tax returns with minimal supervision
- Is organised, methodical and detail-oriented
- Takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work
- Enjoys improving processes and maintaining standards
- Is friendly, professional and approachable with clients
- Is comfortable working independently
Essential Experience
Previous accountancy practice experience is essential.
Candidates will have experience of most or all of the following:
- Bookkeeping
- VAT returns
- Sole trader and limited company accounts
- Personal tax returns
- Corporation Tax returns
- Payroll
- Xero
