Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a care home setting. This role involves supervising care staff, implementing care plans, and ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of care.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Supervise and mentor junior care staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Maintain accurate records of residents' health and wellbeing, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to provide updates on care and address any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to senior care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a senior care role or similar position within a care home environment is essential.
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation electronically.
