Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and daily routines in accordance with care plans
- Help with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Monitor and record health status, reporting any concerns to senior staff
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality care
- Drive clients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring safe transportation
- Uphold health and safety standards within the care environment
Requirements
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable for transporting clients
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous
- Knowledge of developing and following care plans
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
