We are looking for an experienced Accounts Semi-Senior to join our growing accountancy practice.
This is a great opportunity for someone with around 4 years’ experience working within an accountancy practice who is confident managing a varied workload and dealing directly with clients.
The Role
Working as part of our accounts team, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing limited company accounts from client records through to review stage
- Preparing sole trader and partnership accounts
- Preparing Corporation Tax returns
- Preparing Self Assessment tax returns
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Completing bookkeeping and reviewing client records where required
- Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within relevant filing deadlines
- Supporting more junior members of the team where required
- Working closely with managers and directors across the practice
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a minimum of 4 years’ recent experience within an accountancy practice
- Has strong experience preparing limited company accounts
- Is confident preparing VAT returns and personal and corporate tax returns
- Has a good understanding of UK accounting and taxation requirements
- Is comfortable communicating directly with clients
- Can manage their own workload and work to deadlines
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
AAT qualified or part-qualified would be advantageous, although we are equally interested in candidates who have gained strong practical experience within an accountancy practice.
