We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Support Worker to work on a 2:1 ratio to provide effective support for our young male with learning disabilities.
He is a happy, affectionate, and playful young person who enjoys engaging with others through his own unique ways of communicating. Although he is non-verbal, he is expressive and enjoys spending time with people who are patient, attentive, and able to understand his needs and preferences.
The role involves supporting him to access activities he enjoys, including going for drives, days out in the community, visits to parks and local attractions, and participating in fun recreational activities. He particularly enjoys spending time on the trampoline and benefits from opportunities for active play.
Alongside community activities, he also values quiet downtime and enjoys relaxing with his iPad. Support workers should be able to balance active engagement with providing calm, reassuring support during quieter periods.
The ideal candidate will be kind, energetic, patient, and able to build a positive relationship based on trust and consistency. Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential, as a caring attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
While a Level 3 Diploma in Children's (or equivalent) is desirable, we welcome applicants willing to work towards this qualification.

You will be paid £13.00 - £13.50 per hour depending on your experience sleep shifts are paid at £50 – with plenty of opportunities for overtime.
