Overview
Promech Machinery Services Ltd is looking for a motivated and reliable Service & Installation Engineer to join our growing team. The role involves the installation, servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of a wide range of lifting and materials handling equipment across the UK.
You will work on equipment including:
- Goods lifts
- Light crane systems
- Industrial manipulators
- Scissor lift tables
- Other bespoke lifting and handling equipment
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong mechanical engineering experience who enjoys working on-site, solving problems, and delivering high-quality installations and service work for customers nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and commissioning of lifting and handling equipment
- Servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repairs
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Completing service reports and installation documentation
- Liaising professionally with customers on-site
- Working away from home Monday to Friday across the UK
- Working overtime where required to ensure projects are completed on schedule
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Experience in mechanical installation and/or maintenance engineering
- Good practical engineering and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel and stay away during the working week
Desirable
- Electrical qualifications or electrical fault-finding experience
- Experience working with lifting equipment, cranes, or industrial machinery
- CSCS, IPAF, PASMA, or forklift licences (advantageous but not essential)
