We are looking for a Commercial Administrator to join our team in Elgin, providing administrative support to the commercial function across a portfolio of power transmission and distribution projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in commercial management within a fast-paced infrastructure environment.
Working closely with the wider project and commercial teams, you'll assist with the management of commercial information, subcontractor administration, cost reporting and general commercial processes, ensuring accurate records are maintained and project information is effectively managed.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Commercial Team with day-to-day administrative activities.
- Assisting with the collation and maintenance of cost and value information.
- Maintaining commercial records and project documentation.
- Supporting subcontractor administration activities and ensuring information is kept up to date.
- Recording and tracking project progress information.
- Undertaking basic data checks and validating commercial information.
- Assisting with procurement administration and maintaining procurement records.
- Using company systems to accurately input, manage and report information.
- Supporting the preparation of reports, documents and presentations as required.
- Building effective working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
Who we're looking for
We'd love to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous administration experience, ideally within construction, engineering, utilities or infrastructure environments.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to manage and maintain accurate records and information.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to work.
- A willingness to learn and develop within a commercial environment.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst managing their own workload.
Experience within the construction industry is beneficial but not essential, and we would welcome applications from candidates with strong administrative experience gained in other sectors.
