Furley Page are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Legal Secretary to join their busy and highly regarded property team based in their Whitstable office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and organised legal secretary with strong commercial property experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing high-quality support to fee earners and clients.
The Role
You will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to commercial real estate solicitors, assisting with a varied caseload and helping to ensure matters progress efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing proactive day-to-day secretarial support to commercial property fee earners.
- Preparing, formatting and amending correspondence, legal documents and reports.
- Opening and closing files and maintaining accurate electronic filing systems.
- Managing diaries, meetings, appointments and deadlines.
- Preparing and organising documents for transactions, meetings and completions.
- Assisting with property searches, Land Registry documentation and other transaction-related administration.
- Handling telephone calls and correspondence professionally and efficiently.
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, agents and other third parties.
- Preparing bills, time recording and other financial administration where required.
- Supporting the wider property team with general administrative duties.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary within Commercial Real Estate/Commercial Property.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines.
- A professional, proactive and client-focused approach.
- Confidence dealing with clients and external contacts.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
- The ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.
Experience with legal case management systems and property-specific software would be advantageous.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £25,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
