Warehouse Operative
Location: Harlow
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
Start Date: Immediate Start Available
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our warehouse team in Harlow. This is a hands-on role that plays an important part in ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time.
You will work closely with the Team Leader and the wider warehouse team to maintain high standards of accuracy, organisation and safety across the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
Order Picking
Accurately pick customer orders using picking lists or handheld scanners, ensuring the correct products and quantities are selected. This role requires regular use of an order picker to access and pick stock from high-level locations, so experience operating this type of equipment is essential.
Packing & Dispatch
Pack items securely and professionally using suitable packaging to protect goods during transit. Label orders correctly and prepare them for dispatch in line with courier collection deadlines.
Quality Control
Maintain high levels of accuracy and presentation. Check for damaged or incorrect items during the picking and packing process and report any issues to your supervisor.
Warehouse Housekeeping
Keep your work area clean, tidy and organised at all times. Report any defects and help maintain a clean, safe and efficient working environment.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures to ensure a safe workplace for yourself and your colleagues.
Inventory Management
Assist with stock replenishment and organisation within the pick and pack areas. Support stock counts and help maintain accurate inventory records and locations.
Equipment Operation
Operate warehouse equipment such as order pickers, pallet trucks (where trained and authorised) to move and store goods safely.

- Previous warehouse experience
- Experience using an order picker
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A positive, team-focused attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Good organisational skills
