Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our team in the stunning Portree Hotel in the Isle of Skye. This role is pivotal in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and delivering exceptional service. As a member of the Front of House team, you will be the first point of contact for customers, playing a crucial role in their overall experience.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring high standards of presentation.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
Experience
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality or food service, is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- A keen eye for detail to ensure high standards of service are maintained.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
