Fun Shack Newcastle is seeking a Key Holder / Supervisor to support the Centre Manager in the day-to-day operation of our popular soft play and family entertainment centre in Walkergate.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. We are looking for someone who enjoys leading a team, delivering excellent customer service, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and closing the building safely and securely
- Cash handling, banking, and end-of-day cash reconciliation
- Supervising, supporting, and motivating team members
- Assisting with staff management and daily operational tasks
- Providing excellent customer service at reception
- Working within the café, serving customers and maintaining high standards
- Ensuring the centre remains clean, safe, and welcoming for all guests
- Supporting the manager with the smooth running of the business
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Be enthusiastic, positive, and approachable
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Be confident handling cash and taking responsibility for key holder duties
- Be able to work independently and make decisions when required
- Thrive in a busy, family-focused environment
- Be flexible and willing to work across different areas of the centre
Working Hours
- Minimum 24 hours per week
- Additional hours available for the right candidate
- Must be available to work weekends
- Must be available during school holidays, which are some of our busiest periods
