Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter & Decorator/Handyman/woman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting and decorating techniques, as well as handling various handyman tasks to ensure properties are well-maintained, functional, and visually appealing. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help us deliver exceptional results for our clients and maintain high standards across all projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems creatively, and contributing to a variety of construction and maintenance tasks.
The successful candidate must have painting and decorating experience in both commercial and domestic properties & be capable of working independently including travelling to local sites/clients homes. A work van can be provided.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care.
- Handle general handyman duties including assembling furniture, fixing fixtures, or repairing woodwork .
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment safely and efficiently to complete painting and maintenance tasks.
- Communicate clearly with clients or team members regarding project progress, issues, or additional work needed.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly throughout each project.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in domestic & commercial painting, decorating, or general handyman work.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively understand instructions and collaborate with team members.
- Valid driving license with the ability to operate a vehicle safely for transportation between sites.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction painting and handyman tasks.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Flexibility to adapt to different project requirements and work environments.

Pay: Up to £28,000.00 per year
