Receptionist – Milton Keynes Office
25 hours per week Monday-Friday
We are seeking a highly organised and personable Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment.
ABOUT THE FIRM
We are a dynamic national law firm spread out over 12 offices, who specialise in all areas of family law and provide the very best advice to both private and legally aided clients. We believe that every client should be treated as if they are our only client, by listening to their concerns, understanding their needs, always being approachable and supporting them through difficult times.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be organised and professional, with the ability to manage a busy reception environment efficiently. You should be able to prioritise tasks effectively, ensuring the smooth running of front-of-house operations whilst supporting the wider team on a day-to-day basis. Clerical and administrative skills are essential, along with a compassionate and approachable manner when dealing with clients. The role will involve providing general administrative support to assist with the progression and management of client matters.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Greeting clients and visitors in a polite and professional manner
- Managing incoming calls and directing enquiries appropriately
- Handling appointment scheduling and maintaining diaries
- Providing administrative support to solicitors and legal staff
- Managing incoming and outgoing post
- Ensuring the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times
- Maintaining confidentiality in line with legal and data protection requirements
- Excellent IT Skills with proven knowledge of working with Microsoft Office packages
- Previous receptionist or front-of-house experience (legal experience desirable but not essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
- Professional, empathetic, and approachable manner
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion
- To maintain strict confidentiality at all times in accordance with GDPR and data protection requirements.
WORKING HOURS
- 25 hours per week
- Monday to Friday 9.30am to 3pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
