Assistant Manager – Residential Learning Disability Service

Are you an experienced and passionate care professional looking to take the next step in your career?Barbara Rose Care Home is a small, specialist 5-bed residential service supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. Our size allows us to provide truly person-centred care, where every resident is known as an individual and every member of staff plays a vital role in making a difference.We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to work alongside our Deputy Manager and Registered Manager in delivering exceptional care and maintaining the highest standards throughout the home.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (minimum requirement)• Previous experience working in a residential care setting• Confident in writing, reviewing and updating care plans• Confident in completing and reviewing risk assessments• Good knowledge of safeguarding, CQC standards and person-centred care• Excellent communication and organisational skills• Ability to motivate and support a team while leading by example
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day management of the home• Ensure care plans and risk assessments are accurate, personalised and regularly reviewed• Lead and support staff to deliver outstanding care• Promote dignity, independence and positive outcomes for the people we support• Assist with audits, compliance and quality assurance• Work closely with professionals, families, the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager to maintain excellent standards
