The Shoreditch Inn is seeking a versatile and highly-educated Business Development Manager to bridge the gap between our internal operations and the external corporate market. This role is ideal for a "hybrid" professional: someone who possesses the analytical mind of a technician, the strategic vision of a project manager, and the people skills of a seasoned salesperson.
Key Duties
- Strategic Growth: Identify and secure new corporate partnerships using data-driven market research and networking.
- Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for corporate clients, ensuring long-term loyalty through exceptional service.
- Operational Synergy: Work closely with all hotel departments (including housekeeping and front-of-house) to ensure the "on-the-ground" reality matches the sales promise.
- Process Optimization: Apply project management principles to streamline sales workflows and lead generation.
- Reporting & Analysis: Use CRM tools (Salesforce) to provide senior management with detailed pipeline analytics and performance forecasts.

- Requirements
- Advanced Educational Background: A Master’s degree (MBA) or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Project Management or Business is highly preferred.
- Technical & Analytical Aptitude: A background or degree in a technical/analytical field (such as Engineering or Applied Sciences) is a strong plus, as we value systematic problem-solving skills.
- Proven Supervisory Experience: Experience managing large teams in a high-output environment (industrial, manufacturing, or operations) is essential to demonstrate leadership capability.
- Internal Operational Knowledge: We place a high value on candidates who understand hotel operations from the ground up. Direct experience within hospitality service departments is considered a major asset.
- Sales & Commercial Success: Demonstrable experience in B2B sales or account management with a focus on hitting growth targets.
- Strategic Mindset: The ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders simultaneously with a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
