Platinum Shoe Care is looking for a creative and enthusiastic FULL TIME Trainee Sneaker Customiser to join our growing team.
We design and create premium customised Nike and Adidas trainers that are shipped to customers all over the world. Every pair is made to order from our studio in Wellington, Somerset, making every day different and every project unique.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an artistic background who wants to turn their creativity into a career. No previous experience in sneaker customisation is required as full training will be provided by our experienced team.

About the Role
As a Trainee Sneaker Customiser, you'll learn how to transform authentic trainers into premium bespoke pieces of wearable art. The role is full-time working 37.5 hours a week.
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Painting and hand-finishing trainers
- Applying leather dyes and specialist finishes
- Sewing and fitting new panels and materials
- Creating bespoke customer orders
- Quality checking completed work
- Packaging finished orders ready for dispatch
Full Training Provided
You do not need previous experience customising trainers.
However, the successful applicant must have:
- A strong artistic background
- Excellent attention to detail
- A creative mindset
- An interest in fashion, trainers and design
- Good hand skills and patience
- The ability to follow detailed processes and instructions
- The ability to work efficiently whilst maintaining exceptional quality
Essential Requirements
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a portfolio of artwork demonstrating creativity and technical ability
- Is reliable, motivated and eager to learn
- Works well within a small team
- Takes pride in producing work to a consistently high standard
- Can work to deadlines without compromising quality
Working Location
This role is based full-time at our studio in:
Wellington, Somerset (TA21 9AD)
Remote or hybrid working is not available.
