Deputy Manager
Job Overview:
Guidance Care Limited is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team in providing safe and nurturing homes for young people aged 6-18. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supervising and leading staff to ensure the well-being and development of the young residents. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals in need of support and care.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the residential children's home.
- Supervise staff in providing high-quality care and support to young people, promoting their education, health, safety, enjoyment, and achievement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Ofsted regulations, and safeguarding procedures to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
- Collaborate with external agencies, social workers, and medical professionals to address the specific needs of each resident.
- Act as a positive role model for young people, fostering their social and emotional development through consistent support and guidance.
- Conduct regular meetings with staff, participate in training sessions, and maintain accurate records to uphold quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Level 3 in CYP, ideally working towards or hold a L5 in Leadership and Management
- Experience in supervising in residential children's homes
- Proficiency in supervising staff members and coordinating daily operations effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to deliver exceptional care services.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues, stakeholders, and young residents effectively.
Hours: Full-time, averaging 37.5 per week (minimum 30). Typical rota is 1 on, 2 off, every other shift requires a sleep in.
