Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, organised, and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality food in a busy pub environment while maintaining excellent standards of hygiene, consistency, and teamwork.
This role suits someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in their food, and can work calmly and efficiently during busy service periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to a consistently high standard
- Support with menu development and seasonal specials
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to company standards
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen hygiene
- Follow stock rotation and minimise food waste
- Assist with ordering, deliveries, and stock control when required
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and labelled appropriately
- Work efficiently during busy lunch, dinner, and event services
- Support and communicate effectively with front-of-house and kitchen teams
- Help maintain a positive and professional working environment
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good understanding of food hygiene and HACCP procedures
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Flexible and reliable
Desirable:
- Experience in a pub, restaurant, or hospitality environment
- Experience with fresh seafood and seasonal produce

Working Hours
- 4/5 days per week
- 32hrs per week
- Initial 12 month maternity leave cover
