We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong finance skills and a keen eye for detail to support the day-to-day financial operations of our business.
The successful candidate will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the wider operations of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Producing sales invoices accurately and efficiently
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Assisting with credit control processes.
- Preparing and processing payments.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Liaising with our external accountants and assisting with month-end and year-end accounting procedures.
- Supporting payroll administration where required.
- Responding to supplier and customer account queries.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in an accounts, finance, or bookkeeping role.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures within a small business.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small close knit office team.
Desirable
- Experience using Quickbooks accounting software
- Experience with the construction, maintenance or trades industries
