Kirklees Active Leisure (KAL) are on the lookout for a Fitness Specialist to join the team at Holmfirth Pool and Fitness Centre and Colne Valley Leisure Centre.
Applicants MUST be able to work the below rota (22 hours):
Holmfirth Pool and Fitness Centre:
Monday: 13:30-20:00
Friday: 08:00-13:00
Colne Valley Leisure Centre:
Wednesday: 14:00-20:30
Saturday: 07:30-12:30

What we are looking for:
- Ability to consistently demonstrate the KAL Values – ONE TEAM, PASSION, EXCELLENCE
- Ability to consistently demonstrate the SEE principle in regard to customer service – SMILE, EYE CONTACT, ENGAGE WITH (“SEE”)
- CIMSPA recognised Level 3 Personal Training qualification, with the physical ability to deliver at this level
- Ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of Health and Safety, as it relates to this post
- Good written and numeracy skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- To be able to evidence relevant work experience or volunteering and demonstrate an understanding of transferable skills
- Must be able to demonstrate basic IT skills

Responsibilities of a Fitness Specialist
- Deliver advanced customer appointments, including body composition testing, fitness assessments and goal‑focused consultations.
- Design and deliver personalised fitness programmes aligned to individual goals, abilities and progression needs
- Act as a key driver of member engagement, retention and sales through the promotion of KAL’s full range of fitness and health services
- Deliver engaging small group training sessions across gym and studio areas to enhance the member experience
